Anne Bouleanu is a freelance journalist based in Chicago. She has worked in digital media and television covering a range of topics including women's rights, conflict and politics in Colombia, Venezuela, the Philippines, Rwanda and the United States.

As a freelance journalist, she has worked with outlets including Al Jazeera English, the BBC and News Deeply.

During her time as a producer at Al Jazeera America, Anne produced breaking news segments as well as packages on global issues such as recovery efforts in Afghanistan and the Flint water crisis.

Prior to this, Anne worked at Bloomberg TV focusing on breaking global and domestic financial news.

In 2018, Anne was awarded a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation grant for reporting in Rwanda.

She received her Master's degree in Conflict Resolution in Divided Societies from King's College London, where she wrote her dissertation on the role of women in post-genocide Rwanda.
